Why should a teacher use these games instead of regular lectures and traditional teaching?

Gamification and Game-based learning are two main learning theories that spark my creativity and drive my Instructional Design process. I do love them because this way, students become more engaged with the learning material. At the same, an emotional connection is established between the game’s characters and the user. As suggested by neuroscience specialists, gamification provides an abundance of positive consequences to learners.

Remember that these EFL/ESL games are not standalone activities and should be accompanied by regular knowledge presentations or even an eLearning course for your learners. Remember to use these games in connection to the learning material. I strongly suggest you include them in a relative lesson plan.
