What is a job aid?
Job aids are files (word format, pdf, etc.) that are created to outline and summarise the content of a course.
The learners can download these job-aids for future reference, after the completion of the course/lesson. By providing items like this, you bridge one’s learning environment in the real world. This increases the retention of knowledge as learners connect knowledge with their daily lives.
Why did I choose this layout?
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote this article about Gagne’s nine events of Instruction. The post was highly successful, considering how many people read it. Therefore, I decided to go with this layout.
As you have probably understood, it is a pretty straightforward approach that includes lightboxes for each event. The tricky part was setting the project’s orientation instead of my favourite 1920 x 1080 to the exact opposite, to match how static infographics look.
