This week’s challenge set for the e-learning heroes community was to share an example that demonstrates how interactive timelines can be used in e-learning.
Most of the times, the timelines I create in elearning projects use a pretty common, linear approach. This is what most people do after all and it really works.
To stand out, this time though I decided to do something different . Therefore. this example demonstrates an alternative way of using timelines in e-learning.

Why are timelines useful

Timelines are a great way to present sequenced information in a single interaction. You can provide historical info to learners and walk them through processes, one step at a time.

They display how events took place over time in a digestible way. In most cases, interactive timelines use click-and-reveal events to reveal dates and milestones. And for the linear nature of timelines, that’s a reliable way to approach timelines.
